First group I ever saw (well it was the Go Go's as they was supporting the Specials)... seen them numerous times when they reformed... last saw him at the Toothbrush in Rayleigh doing a DJ set ... had a chat with him after at the bar... strange as I just pre ordered the re-release of Dance Craze at the weekend,,, bit part of my growing up gone there... hope he's up there Doing the Dog...

Bloody hell my MATE is going to be suicidal I reckon... we call him the Terry Hall stalker as he follows him everywhere... never saw the Specials in the first guise but since they reformed I reckon must of seen them 40 times... got every bit of vinyl, tape, CD that he has done over the years... proper obsessed

Gutted.
There were so many great bands back then. We didn’t realise how rich we were, and The Specials were one of the very best. So much character, attitude and consciousness for such young men, and they were excellent live.
Do today’s youth have anything comparable?

Saw the specials at the Globe theatre in Pomona Cali just before Covid….
Glad I got to see him perform live.

Really gutted about this. The Specials and the whole 2-Tone thing was a massive part of my youth. Really liked Fun Boy Three as well.
I was too young to see them live at the time but saw Terry Hall guesting with the Dub Pistols later on, then of course when The Specials reformed, four or five times - every night a belter.
